Trail Blazer of the Seas Literature Study is a Christian, literature-based study of Jean Lee Latham’s biography of Matthew Fontaine Maury that combines reading comprehension, biblical reasoning, literary analysis, history, geography, science, vocabulary, and character study.

Each chapter lesson guides students through a biblical principle, purpose, objective, study tasks, reflection questions, and enrichment activities while following Maury’s life, naval career, discoveries, perseverance, and faith.
