This 14 page resource is a two-act Pilgrim drama with 15 speaking parts (three actors each play three roles). It has 5 scenes: Of Their Voyage, Of Their Safe Arrival, Indian Relations, Newcomers, & Injustice of Collectivism and the Blessing of Individual Enterprise. Much of the narration follows William Bradford’s own words in Of Plymouth Plantation, so children hear the Pilgrim story from the man who lived it and see God’s providence at every step.
It includes an introduction to the Pilgrims and how to learn more from Bradford’s history (with each scene matched to his chapters); the characters, setting, plot, theme, biblical principles, and leading ideas; production notes with casting, stage areas, and props; and the full script with clear speaker names, stage directions, and narration. It ends with the hymn Praise to the Lord, the Almighty.
Use it for co-op, a Thanksgiving program, or drama night with friends. This is a great tool for teaching drama, supplementing history, and encouraging kids to show off their acting skills. THIS IS A DIGITAL DOWNLOAD.
